clear bag guidelines for central athletic facilities in SBISD "plan ahead for game day" at the bottom

Thank you to our students, families, staff and community members for helping make this a wonderful start to the school year. Our schools and athletic programs are filled with energy and excitement, and we are grateful for the many people who come together to support our students at games and events.

With that excitement comes an important responsibility: keeping everyone safe.

Over the first several weeks of the school year, we have noticed an increasing number of individuals entering Tully Stadium and the Natatorium with large bags. While we recognize that these bags are often brought for convenience, their contents can make it difficult for staff and SBISD Police to quickly determine what is inside.

Safety and security are our top priorities. To help ensure our central athletic facilities remain safe and welcoming places for students, families and fans, effective immediately, SBISD will implement a clear bag policy for all sporting events at Tully Stadium, Don Coleman Coliseum, Grob Stadium and the Natatorium.

Fans may bring clear bags of any size. Purses, backpacks and other non-clear bags will not be permitted.

Additionally, party buses may not bring students to games at SBISD central athletic facilities, and outside food and beverages are not allowed at any sporting events at Tully Stadium, Don Coleman Coliseum or Grob Stadium.

We know that changes in routine can require a little extra planning, and we appreciate your cooperation as we implement these safety measures. Please plan ahead to help ensure a smooth entry and a positive experience for everyone.

Thank you for your partnership, patience and continued commitment to the safety of our students, staff and visitors.

We look forward to seeing you in the stands and cheering alongside you - safely!
