Shadow Oaks Elementary’s Kimberly Duran Named January Teachers Driving Success Winner

Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) is excited to recognize Kimberly Duran, a pre-K 4 teacher at Shadow Oaks Elementary, as the newest winner of the January Teachers Driving Success Award.

Thanks to sponsors Group 1 and Genesis, this award honors teachers who inspire curiosity, build strong relationships, and help students start learning on the right foot throughout SBISD. Duran received a surprise gift basket during a campus celebration honoring the care and support she provides to Shadow Oaks’ youngest students as they begin their school journey.

In her classroom, students benefit from hands-on learning experiences that help them explore, grow, and build confidence. Duran collaborates closely with the adults who support her students, working as a team to ensure all students have what they need to be successful.

“Ms. Duran has come in and cared for our scholars, giving them the best start to their educational journey,” her principal shared. “She provides hands-on learning and works with all adults to ensure our scholars are successful. She does this all with such calmness, positivity, and always wearing a smile!”

SBISD thanks Group 1 and Genesis for their ongoing support of the Teachers Driving Success program. Their partnership helps us celebrate teachers who give students a strong start and a bright future for Every Child.

We are #SBISDProud to honor Kimberly Duran for the difference she makes each day: for her students, their families and the Shadow Oaks Elementary community.
